UNCONDITIONAL LOVE

Updated: Nov 25, 2019

My Home Page discloses my love for dogs. Dogs don’t lie, they don’t criticize

…as a matter of fact, they bring a huge benefit to your life

I can get very emotional to see any animal suffer, but dogs are entirely dependent on humans; that vulnerability forces me to do as much as I can to help them.

The image you glanced at when you opened my site features a two-year old pit bull cross, Samantha. The sweetest nature you can imagine.

When I did my TV show ViaMia, 50% of my focus was on pets missing homes. I visited the Vancouver SPCA and talked things through with the manager and her assistant. I wanted them to bring 2-3 animals to the studio on taping day, perhaps those who have trouble to be placed to a household.

Samantha was one of them who the staff found too affectionate to be lacking her daily touch, hug, love. We started to tape, when Samantha, who was lying on the floor for now, approached me, hopped on my lap and quietly sat there for the rest of the show.

To my most pleasant surprise, Samantha found her family two days after the show was aired, along with other pets we showed just images off. I even had a chance to meet with Samantha’s new “parents”. I know, Samantha and her new family will both benefit tremendously from this new arrangement.

If you have anything to share on this topic, any idea that will make a dog the happiest creature on Earth, please do so. Saving one dog will not change the world, but surely for that one dog, the world will change forever.

A brief slide show with Samantha as the star of this ViaMia episode...
