Your diet is not only what you eat. It is what you watch, what you listen to, what you read, the people you hang around with….Be mindful of the things you put into your body emotionally, spiritually and physically.
Today's society registers the word 'diet" mostly as a regimen of eating and drinking sparingly so as to reduce one's weight.
So, let's talk about it for a moment;
The major problem of the current society is DIETING. There’s no diet that works and I swear to that!
#1 - If just one of them worked, why would we need the rest of them?
#2 - every single diet leads you to "yo-yo-ing". I’ll explain why: You starve yourself once or twice, or many times in your life by dieting, so your body builds awareness and learns how to protect itself by storing calories from the food you’ve been providing to it. You trained your body in the past to do that by on and off starving. That’s why, when suddenly you go to detox or any nonsense way to lose weight, your body immediately switches in to the ‘starving mode’. No, you won’t lose weight. And if you do, just a little bit. Before you have enough of waiting for the desired number, you’re back up on the scale and even higher…
In terms to lose weight, you must fulfill three disciplines successfully;
1. Healthy and adequate consumption habits
2. Effective sleep
3. Physical activity
A large amount of people assume that if they spend 1-2 hours a day, 5-6 times a week in the gym, they have done enough for their bodies so they “can afford” to go straight to the diner ordering the biggest pizza. ‘Why not, I’ve just worked hard enough’. Well, remember, that YES, physical activity is important, but it’s only 20% of success for a healthy and beautiful body.
I am sure you have heard this frequently, “I have great metabolism, I am happy about the way I look and therefore I can eat anything and anytime and I don’t even need to exercise..” Well, maybe it’s working for them - NOW. But, our body has a memory. That attitude leads them to a treacherous path and sooner than later they may be surprised why they’re gaining more and more prescription drugs supporting their good cholesterol, heart, liver, and so on.
And like many of you, I have tried diets; detox programs etc., in the past. I had crazy, irregular working hours, leaving the house in the morning, many times, returning late evening and always made excuses for “not having time” to eat properly and regularly.
Until the long path of learning, entering numerous sessions and classes lectured by pronounced nutritionists, I created my own EscapeToHealth program, a collage of what I understood was the ultimate.
In 1995, a year before I relocated from Slovakia to Canada, I lost, under a similar program, 18 kg in 3 months. I didn’t have any goal; I kept on going. My weight dropping stopped when I achieved 24 kg less and it took me 5 full months.
There was no dieting, no starving involved. It was just the way I lived, that gave me a new body a new way of thinking, new clothes and even a tight and healthy looking complexion!
The following 20 years I have been studying how to make this livable for just about anybody. And I got it; 2 years ago I tore my Achilles tendon during my step class. For three months of markedly decreased physical activity mirrored my body and my intellect.
I relocated for 2 months, went back to my homeland and started to work on a different way of living and feeling.
I have forwarded the EscapeToHealth program on to a few of my friends and seeing their success and their happiness guides me to share it with a wider society.
