There’s barely any individual who’s never traveled. Some of us consider ourselves well-versed in this activity, some less. In my travels I am always captivated by differences that each and every culture offers. Don’t get me wrong; I do love to see the physical beauty and versatility of a place I am at as well.
The majority of my life I lived in Eastern Europe. And presently, for a little over 20 years in Canada. Was I prepared for the cultural shock? No, it never crossed my mind when I made the decision to relocate. Why is it – such a huge contrast between North America and let’s say, Europe? My European friends ask me quite often, where I see the major differences…well, almost in every aspect; lifestyle, interests, sense of humour, music, fashion, how they walk, how they talk and more. Is it better here or there? No, it’s just different.
